Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Bid Controller who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Naples - Italy.

Mission
Assure a complete and reliable bid evaluation for big/medium/small/local projects, through the respect of the Hitachi bid procedures by the bidding team. The Bid Controller needs to be able to anticipate and intercept the potential risks undercover in the consolidation of the Bid Budget developed by Bid Manger. Considering the short time available for assessment of the consolidated bid budget, the Bid Controller needs to have the experience to evaluate the robustness of the economics and financial position consolidated by Bid Department. The Bid Controller is responsible for economics/financial assessment and evaluation to support Bidding Committee and CFO approval process.

Accountabilities :

Ensure the Budgeting and forecasting process during Bid execution, coordination and consolidation in the systems (Bid Tools, Project Controlling tools, SAP)
Ensure Bid support being a proactive part of the bid process as reference point for the Finance&Treasury and for the Finance & Mgmt. Controlling, providing for all required financial contribution including EVA/NPV validation, financing support and bonding, financial terms and conditions and administrative impacts/costs, etc.
Ensure profitability consolidation and evaluation considering the evolution in the long-term period and potential impacts on company budget/mid term plan.
Ensure financial assessment of single bid initiatives in coherence with contractual Terms And Conditions and evaluation of potential impacts on company budget/mid term plan.
Ensure monitoring of overall bid costs budget and of the single initiative actual cost ensuring the respect of the project budget.
Ensure bid projects reporting in accordance with rules, format and deadlines.
Guarantee reliability and on time availability of management reporting systems and controlling processes in compliance with company policies, management and key stakeholders information needs.
Ensure support to Project Controlling team during handover phase, in case of award, to consolidate bid budget and develop of Initial Operative Budget.

Job requirements

  • leadership and customer relationship

Education required:
University Degree

Experience:
Minimum 5 (five) years in similar environment
Languages:
Fluent knowledge of English
