Hitachi Construction Machinery's Mining Support Group plays a key role globally in supporting our major customers by ensuring the link between customer, dealer and factory across our range of mining and construction products.

You will be on a six-month contract with a view for an extension, you will be working with our mining customer in Horishni Plavni, Ukraine you will be managing our Parts and Service operations to meet requirements of performance of their Mining Fleet, whilst maintaining sales, profit budgets and expense control of the whole supply chain.

Reporting to the Regional Head Office, your responsibilities include:

  • To propose and review new parts and service infrastructure budget for the Regional Head Office (RHO), based on current Mining Fleet sales potential.
  • To provide service to external and internal customers for the supply of parts and service.
  • Review Warehouse operating processes with Customer and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Implement parts ordering and return process with Customer.
  • Sourcing parts as required and distribution of parts to Mining Customers in line with required lead times.
  • Liaise with freight companies and RHO to follow up freight shortages and process claims for damaged or missing freight.
  • Ensure parts transactions relating to Service Work In Progress (WIP) are actioned promptly.
  • Manage the Mining Fleet shutdown plan and execution.
  • Review the Mining Fleet maintenance strategy with Customer and identify windows of improvement.

To be successful, you will need:

  • Leadership Experience - Motivating and positively enabling the parts and service team with unwavering integrity. Values employee inclusion, coaching and true mentor ship and acts as a preventative problem solver.
  • Financial Coordination - Proven financial acumen with a demonstrated capability to propose and review a new parts and service infrastructure budget for the Dealer, reviewing monthly actual and reports with the Regional Head Office Product Support Manager and Dealer Top Management team accordingly.
  • Sound knowledge of Earthmoving equipment.
  • Ability to be stationed overseas.
