Graduate Engineer will work within various business units responsible for
delivering major projects in the UK including the Intercity Express Program’s
fleet of new Intercity trains, and introducing world leading technology to the
UK rail market.
Graduate Engineer will have the opportunity to experience and contribute to the
development and delivery of new train fleets and railway operational systems
from design stage into operational service, maximising personal and
professional development in an exciting and dynamic vision-led team.
- Work in accordance
to a planned programme of projects within a range of business units in the
company and under the direction of senior managers.
engineering and project management activities by production of materials
to deliver the objectives of the placement.
- Attend and where
possible lead meetings with customers and suppliers to achieve goals.
- Present solutions
and reach agreement with customers to achieve mutually acceptable engineering
and commercial solutions.
- Attend training
courses as instructed to develop industry and technical knowledge together
with personal development.
- Enrol into the
company Monitored Professional Development Scheme (MPDS) progressing to Chartered
- To be aware of and
actively promote and implement Hitachi Rail’s ethos, culture and values.
- To be involved in
Hitachi Rail Europe’s staff development and training and participate in PDP
- To adhere to the
Hitachi Rail Europe’s Equal Opportunities Policy.
