The Corporate R&D of Hitachi in Europe, via its Laboratory on Sophia Antipolis (near Nice, France) is looking for a key contributor on a small, collaborative team focused on one of the most exciting robotics applications today.

 

Contractor Mapping Localisation (m/f/d)

for a duration of approx. 6 months.

 

 

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Research, develop and implement algorithms to solve problems in the areas of large-scale mapping, real-time localization problems, and accurate calibration
  • Develop tools for AD/ADAS system
  •  Design and develop well-tested software and deploy in a real environment

  • Closely collaborate with engineers across perception and tracking, prediction and planning, infrastructure's interaction, and simulation to achieve desired results

 

 

Qualifications

   Your qualifications:

  • Experience with state estimation, SLAM, nonlinear optimization, probabilistic filtering, and 3D/visual geometry.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and extending novel algorithms.

  • Strong C++ and python programming skills.

  • Experience with multiple sensors (e.g. GPS, IMU, LIDAR, camera, odometry)  
  • Experience with ROS
  • Experience in working with real-time systems, large-scale scalable software architectures, and large data sets
