IT Project Support Technician

Hitachi America, Ltd. ( is looking for an IT Project Support Technician to work in our IT Group. This role will be responsible for performing day-to-day IT task to support the project managed by the Client Support team for ITG customer. Client support includes a wide range of services including desktop support, trouble-shooting issues, PC data backup, hardware and software break-fix, Office 365, Video Conferencing and End-Point Security. The individual in this role will act as part of a geographically distributed technical team of IT members who provide services to customers as part of this role, the technician will be work together with our Client Service Team to execute and deliver the best service to our customers.



  • Install, configure and troubleshoot desktop systems, workstations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to Office 365 services.
  • Setup and configure laptops.
  • Assist users with Level I and Level 2 Help Desk
  • Communicate highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
  • Support the implementation of new hardware and software solutions, including for new acquisitions and upgrades
  • Participate in projects and help deploy solutions to customers.
  • Conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s computer users about basic and specialized applications.
  • Provide support to Executives and VIP and demonstrate capability to responsibly deal with sensitive or confidential information.
  • Contribute requirements to the design, testing, deployment, and support of the operating system and all supported applications


  • BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience required (Certifications in IT related field; Minimum Associates degree in IT field)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the information technology field. IT technical background Desktop (Windows based) technologies including client, office applications, server, mobile solutions.
  • Have a working knowledge of TCP/IP, subnets, DNS and DHCP technology for troubleshooting break-fix network issues.
  • Have a working knowledge of network hardware
  • Have a working knowledge of Active Directory; including troubleshooting and administration of users and PC’s on the domain.
  • Have a working knowledge of Office 365 and Office 365 account troubleshooting
  • Have the ability to work dynamic hours to accommodate projects; including overnight/after hours and weekends as well as holidays to mitigate customer outages.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong customer focus skills required
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines and regions with varying degrees of technical knowledge and experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills essential
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment
