Our recent expansion has afforded us a unique opportunity to look for a strategic, dynamic, and forward-thinking Staff Accountant looking to “shift gears” and join the team in our Monroe, GA facility. As a valued member of the Financial & Accounting Team, the Staff Accountant is responsible for company financial reporting, maintaining fixed assets, assisting with AP and balancing of accounts


Chief Duties and/or Responsibilities: 

  1. Responsible for fixed assets preparation and capitalization.
  2. Maintain records of all expenses for CIP items until completion of projects and enter data into SAGE Fixed Asset System and ERP system.  Move completed items from CIP accounts to asset accounts and tag items that are capitalized.
  3. Perform annual fixed asset audit.
  4. Assist Accounts Payable as required.  Review, Prepare, Vouch, and pay vendor invoices as needed.  Become the AP backup when AP is out of the office.
  5. Perform monthly back reconciliation.
  6. Develop and post monthly journal entries, along with any adjustments.
  7. Support month end closing activities
  8. Prepare monthly financial reports for review
  9. Provide assistance with Mid-Year and Year-End Audit reviews, pulling records for auditors and creating reports as needed.
  10. Perform/ support SOX testing
  11. Comply with Internal Control measures in all financial activities.
  12. Support and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards through compliance, improvement and preventive measures.
  13. Interact with other Accounting personnel on a daily basis and assist on special projects.
  14. Perform related tasks as required or assigned.



Qualified Applicants will possess the following: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required.
  • Degree in a related filed may be considered depending on work experience.
  • Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Computer proficiency with MS software and expertise in Excel.
  • 3+ years experience using general accounting principles in a manufacturing environment

Working Conditions:

Pleasant office environment, primarily; moderately loud manufacturing environment, secondary.


Physical Requirements:

Major portion of schedule is spent sitting, using hands to keyboard, write, and handling files and documents.  Clear and distinct speaking voice and hearing clear enough for understanding are required.  Moving about facility, standing to file and some stair climbing may be required. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception are required.  Lifting limited to no more than 25 lbs.
