Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Accountable to the IT Manager for the administration of processes held within Information Systems such as the setup of new user process and leaving process

Key Responsibilities

The extent of responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Enact the provisions of ISO 27001 & 9001 within Hitachi Solutions Europe Ltd.
  • 1st line IT Support
  • Maintain HyperV server infrastructure (Hosts and Guests)
  • Maintain Backup solution
  • Maintain Hardware Asset Register
  • Investigation of reported Information Security Incidents
  • Reporting Information Security Incidents to Management
  • Working with third parties (software / hardware / vendors & service providers) to investigate, resolve & prevent Information Systems Incidents
  • Carrying out execution of change management requests as required (which may include out of hours' work)
  • Installation, maintenance and support of IT equipment including (but not restricted to) laptops, telecoms equipment, printers, scanners and some cabling work
  • Management of the imaging of laptops
  • Ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard and complies with all Hitachi Solutions polices and guidelines
  • Maximizing availability of all IT equipment and infrastructure through continuous improvement and proactive, preventative maintenance and continuously looking to improve equipment efficiencies
  • Delivering outstanding level of service to customer base
  • Providing technical support/input to site, team projects and initiatives
  • Conducting end user equipment trials and testing
  • Undertaking ad-hoc requests and tasking as and when required
  • Other Duties as assigned

This position requires some physical labour. IT Support Analysts execute physical work e.g. working in confined spaces, lifting up to 20 kg; maintaining site cleanliness and general maintenance work

Qualifications

Key Competencies
  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation and overall troubleshooting skills
  • Strong skills in Azure, Office 365
  • Strong Powershell scripting skills
  • A working knowledge of AD, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Strong Windows and Microsoft Office skills
