About the Opportunity

We are seeking an IT Security and Compliance Lead who will be responsible for establishing, developing and managing procedures and processes contributing to the cybersecurity of our systems both here in Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting to the Oceania IT Manager, the IT Security and Compliance Manager will be part of a successful team of IT professionals and will be responsible for the technical coordination of the activities related to IT Security of the systems and data across ANZ. The role will also be responsible for ensuring all compliance matters from other parts of the business in Australia, New Zealand and Japan are also adhered to.

Your other responsibilities

  • Ensure the security of the network, data and applications across the entire IT environment, ANZ
  • Detect, monitor and propose solutions to new attack cyber patterns
  • Plan, implement and manage overall business IT Security & Compliance initiatives, strategy and processes that reduce risk
  • Manage the IT security strategy and ensure alignment with the required Hitachi Group IT governance standards
  • Develop, maintain and implement IT security policies, standards and workflows
  • Test IT security controls and ensure they are effective
  • Operate a multifaceted information security awareness program to business stakeholders and users and contribute to the improvement of that program.
  • Manage security projects and day to day security operations

About you

  • 2-3 years of experience in IT security and systems.
  • Strong ISO27001 knowledge and experience
  • Experience with IT security-related tooling across Endpoint detection, identity management and other related tools
  • Good knowledge of a broad range of information technologies, infrastructure and security systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, O365 and associated Microsoft products is preferred.
