The Role

This position leads the ongoing technology solution definition effort supporting the Global Services organization at Hitachi Vantara. The Business Solution Analyst works as an integral part of delivery team.-nbsp; Working in close collaboration with technical leads and operations team, this role will solution for new and changing business needs.-nbsp; Focus is to drive business users and business process to align with standard functionality instead of custom solutions to the extent possible.

The Business Solution Analyst should have strong understanding of SFDC technology platform, and the business processes implemented in that platform.-nbsp; The Business Solution Analyst will drive alignment on requirements with geographical stakeholders through workshop facilitation, interviews, system demos, visual documentation, use cases identification, and business process analysis. In addition, they must demonstrate effective communication through various mediums, provide strong leadership, and the ability to promote change into the business community through a consultative approach. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following essential job functions:

Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing a broadly-defined area and using functional decomposition to define high-level epics and stories to create a well-organized product backlog
  • Identifying related user stories and epics, grouping them into themes as necessary and documenting the interrelationship and associated business process flows as necessary. The interrelationship of user stories and epics should be well-understood and the implementation of stories across different functional areas may require some planning and coordination so that they are consistently implemented
  • Facilitate and manage user acceptance testing
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and planning sessions with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Interface with business clients to understand needs, ensuring expectations are in line with delivery plans
  • Facilitate operations meetings, providing updates on project status, issues, risks, escalations, and change requests
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully distill complex technical information into clear, comprehensive communication material
  • Coordinate with 3rd party vendors on application support issues, defects and enhancements
  • Manage the delivery of defined scope and deliverables according to the dates and milestones established
  • Track change requests and determine impacts to timeline, resources, and project cost before aligning on next steps
  • Define testing strategy, write test scripts, and execute unit and end-to-end testing
  • Work closely with global business leads on testing the enhancements or defects deployed
  • Develop testing metrics for readout
  • Identify, log and triage issues, coordinating with development team to resolved in a timely manner
  • Develop and update application documentation for hand-off to support analyst team

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong experience and understanding of business processes in Global Services organizations
  • In depth knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce Community and the force.com platform is a must
  • Knowledge of or experience in Field Service and Renewals is required
  • Knowledge of CPQ tools is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Experience in delivering software projects using Agile methodology
  • Experience with other SaaS applications is a plus
  • Knowledge of or experience in Professional Services is required
  • Experience with project issue and tracking tools such as JIRA or ALM
  • Strong analytical skills; demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of direct experience
  • Experience using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
  • Knowledge of all phases of software development including requirements/story gathering, analysis, solution design, development, testing (unit, integration, end-to-end user), implementation, and support
