Job description

HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Commissioning Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Accountabilities:
Execution of the commissioning activities relevant to a project
Define and Write Signaling Tests procedures
Ensure that the delivered test and commissioning documents are available in the required format for her/his scope
Manage and lead the assigned resources in order to perform the tests activities
Perform the specific tests required by RAMS & Engineering
Report to the Commissioning Manager, non-compliances and delays of commissioning activities
Issue the tests reports of the tests performed
Mark up documents to issue the as-built Commissioning drawings
Ensure that the Health & Safety regulations applicable to her/his area are applied
Required Skills/ Knowledge:

  • On site working with technical and management responsibility testing
  • Interface Plans and Definitions
  • Equipment installation Processes
  • Test & Commissioning Processes
  • Operation and Maintenance
  • Space Management for equipment layout
  • Cable Ways Definition
  • Cable Ways Definition Planning and organization
  • Knowledge of commissioning rules and standards
  • Planning and organization
  • Health, Safety and Environment


Desired Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Railway Operations and Signaling principles
  • Vehicles principles
  • Vehicle Subsystems Architecture Knowledge
  • Integrated System Tests
  • Validation and Verification Processes
  • System requirements definition
  • English& languages knowledge



Education: Bachelor's Degree

Languages: English Proficiency
