About the Opportunity

Our Dandenong branch has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join the team in the newly created position of Field Service Coordinator. With the increased demand of Field Service repairs in our growing area, a position has been created to service our customer base.

The role will have you organising the day to day Field Service Department activities, planning work fronts efficiently and effectively to deliver Hitachi's promise of Total Customer Satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone who considers themselves to be a team player as your positive and self-motivated attitude will contribute to the success of the team.

As an integral part of the Service Team, you will be working alongside the Field Service Supervisor to maintain safety and environmental standards as well as ensuring service sales and expense control is exercised in every instance to achieve team budget targets.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have experience, knowledge and understanding of Construction Equipment. Specific exposure to the Earthmoving product will be a distinct advantage.
  • Have a strong work ethic, providing quality and timely customer outcomes
  • Have good communication and customer service skills with the ability to build long term relationships
  • A positive attitude with the technical aptitude to assist our Customers and Technicians.

About you - if you consider yourself to have the following, then we want to hear from you!

  • Safety Conscious - A strong developed awareness and commitment to personal and peer health and safety; always exercising a high duty of care to yourself and others around you
  • Experience - Demonstrated experience coordinating deadlines and planning OEM level services on earthmoving product lines is essential - service coordinator or maintenance planner role exposure will be a distinct advantage.
  • Computer Literacy - Advanced computer literacy including the use of Excel, Microsoft Dynamics and Fleetwave Management Systems would be highly beneficial
  • Verbal & Written Communication Skills - with a developed ability to understand varying customer needs and coordinate with multiple priorities and deadlines buzzing across our successfully busy field service and workshop environments!
  • Autonomous productivity - Initiative to prepare and update work orders and timesheets in a timely manner, maintaining documentation and warranty claims with accurate information on the database
  • Personable and Professional Communication Skills - above all else, your personality and charismatic character will be what sets you apart from the rest when dealing with internal and external stakeholders to deliver customer success stories
