The Opportunity

Based at our Greystanes corporate support office and reporting to the General Manager - Shared Services you will work closely with Regional HR Advisors and branch Management teams and be responsible for collaborating with stakeholders and delivering both operational and strategic HR solutions. As a Leader of the National HR team, you will influence and shape the following:

  • Work closely with the Senior Management team to develop and deliver HR strategy across all national branches.
  • Lead the implementation and follow-through of all HR improvement projects.
  • Work with Management to implement organisational change in culture and staff satisfaction in line with the company's leadership principles.
  • Support all management levels and employees with the interpretation and adherence of employment legislation, relevant awards, benefits and dispute resolution.
  • Manage and lead the Payroll team to ensure that all scheduled requirements are delivered.
  • Work with the national recruitment team to develop and implement strategies to attract, retain and develop high-calibre employees.
  • Work with the L&D team to continue the development of the company's training framework.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the HR team.
  • Manage salary adjustment and company bonus payments to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
  • Review current HR policies and amend as required.
  • Seek specialist technical legal advice as required.
  • Oversee workers compensation claims including a return to work programs as required.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have 7+ years' experience as a HR Manager in a medium to a large enterprise company. You will possess strong business acumen and a dedicated ability to positively enable our people to be the best that they can be. You will need to have:

  • An enthusiastic and nurturing team-based work ethic
  • An understanding of applicable IR laws and regulations
  • Relevant formal qualifications in HR
  • Experience working in an industrial business is preferred
  • The ability to travel interstate
