HR Advisor

(1 year fixed term contract)

In this role you will be working alongside the local HR Business Partner to support the business with first line ER advice, payroll and benefit administration, whilst driving continuous improvement for the site.

You are mainly responsible for:

  • Support with Recruiting process and requisition handling for the UK.
  • Support with student placements on site.
  • Onboarding process including welcome pack, presentation material and new starter induction.
  • Co-ordinate the running of payroll to the level of transfer to the outsourcing company.
  • Collating details of overtime, sickness, allowances/deductions, starters and leavers.
  • Responsible for checking payroll output and providing Finance and relevant external organisations with information/analysis.
  • Advise employees on benefits and administer all schemes.
  • Provide first line Employee Relations support and coaching to line managers through effective advice utilising employment law knowledge.
  • Ensure ongoing ER cases are managed and are progressing in line with policy.
  • Provide support to the HR Team in monitoring and co-ordinating the PMR process for both Direct and Indirect employees.
  • Share knowledge with HR Apprentice through coaching and sharing of best practice.
  • Share HR representation at various Employee Forums within the business. 
  • Support HR Business Partner with HR related compliance activities such as training overview, GDPR or payroll related audits.
  • Support HR Team with Audits, including but not limited to review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Participate in Regional projects as required.

 Your Profile:

  • Previous experience in a HR Officer capacity including case management and payroll.
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and experience of dealing with confidential information.
  • Proven IT skills (Office 365, including Excel).
  • Ability to manage and organise own workload efficiently.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Required to take initiative in respect of communication (internally & externally).
  • Be accountable for certain project within the scope of the job.
