Summary



The Medical Device Refurbishment Technician I is responsible for meeting daily production needs in regards to the refurbishment, testing, and repair of MRI, CT, and/or ultrasound equipment.




Essential Functions and Responsibilities


  • Conducts incoming inspections of systems to be refurbished

  • Disassembles, cleans, repairs, reassembles, and packages systems in the refurbishment process

  • Assembles/cables refurbished systems for testing

  • Monitors cryofarm system cryogen levels

  • Assists in performing Echelon Oval gradient and transmitter loading, and transmitter tuning

  • Safely operates pallet jack

  • Safely operates fork lift

  • Safely operates crane

  • Neatly and accurately completes all required documentation

  • Maintains a clean and orderly work space

  • Follows all HHA safety and quality policies

  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager, Repair and Refurbishment

Education/Experience




  • Knowledge of assigned equipment to provide timely repair and effective maintenance.

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electromechanical equipment.

  • Experience interfacing with multiple different internal teams as part of a solution based production process


Certifications




  • Tow motor and crane certifications required.






Physical Requirements



  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

    1. Regular warehouse working environment. Must be tolerant to both warm and cool temperature conditions.

    2. Must have excellent manual dexterity.

    3. Must be able to safely use hand tools.

    4. Must be able to stand and walk for 8+ hours per day.

    5. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

    6. Must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.

  • Must possess good interpersonal skills.

  • Must be reliable and able to work independently.
