Accounts Payable Clerk

Summary

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing all accounts payable related transactions and generally assisting the Accounts Payable Administrator.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Code and voucher invoices that have been properly approved for payment


• Prepare check runs


• Answer vendor inquiries regarding payment discrepancies


• Close and reconcile accounts payable at month end


• Investigate discrepancies related to invoices


• Process electronic expense reports


• Maintain vendor files and terms


• Prepare corporate tax estimates


• Prepare 1099s

Education/Experience

• Two years of accounts payable processing experience.


• A high school diploma or GED

• Frequently use fingers to type and do other fine motor tasks.


• Occasionally required to stand; walk, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop; kneel; or crouch.


• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.


• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.

Additional Needs/Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred


• Complete understanding of the accounts payable process


• Basic understanding of HHA's financial reporting system and internal control environment


• Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects through completion


• Strong communication skills


• Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to follow instructions and work independent of others


• Excel experience and willingness to grow in Excel capabilities required
