Job description
Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Metrology Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Italy -Tito scalo (PZ).

Accountabilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure the definition, planning, implementation and monitoring of the
calibration services for inspection, measurement and test equipment.
• Ensure the identification, approval, issuing and update of calibration
• Ensure the implementation of all calibration activities (including the
drafting of the relevant documentation) of equipment in accordance
with the Company calibration procedures and manufacturing
• Ensure the identification of measurement issues and the identification
and implementation of corrective actions aimed to solve these
measurement problems
• Ensure the identification and implementation of all laboratory activities
required to maintain the calibration laboratory ISO 17025 accreditation
• Ensure the identification and implementation of all activities (internal
and external) required to maintain the measurement standards
• Ensure the gathering, analysis, reporting and sharing of calibration
data with all relevant units

Job requirements
Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Internal customers (Plant Managers)
  • Compliance with international standards (e.g. ISO 17025 accreditation)
