The Opportunity

HCA has an opportunity for an experienced, motivated and professional Key Account Manager to join our dynamic Mining Technology team (FMS) based in Newcastle or Muswellbrook, New South Wales. Reporting to the National FMS Manager, the focus of this role is to identify and maximise our business development and sales opportunities as well as maintaining and developing existing customer accounts.

Taking the lead in delivering business strategies within the Greater Hunter Valley region, you will:

  • Share HCA product and market knowledge, ensuring superior customer service to identify and acquire profitable customer accounts
  • Develop and deliver technical advice to all stakeholders and actively participate in our new product evolutions
  • Collaborate locally and with the broader business to develop sustainable networks and relationships that reach across functions and organisations, including external partners
  • Report on prospecting activities, sales opportunities and competitor activity
  • Contributing to the overall performance of the region and broader business goals

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar Business Development / Account Management role within the mining or mining services industry
  • Demonstrated success in selling technically complex software and hardware solutions with variable sales cycles within a mining or industrial environment
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct high level negotiations in order to secure new and repeat business
  • Ability to build long term internal and external customer relationships including at C-Level
  • Technical background with appropriate qualifications in engineering, mining, marketing or business with experience in technology preferred
  • Enthusiastic, motivated and driven to hit KPI's and targets contributing to the overall performance of the region and broader business goals
