Hitachi Europe S.r.l.  is searching for an Engineering Technician to join the Particle Therapy Systems Division.

The successful candidate will receive training in Spain for several months then relocate to Italy for a few years. The work location is not limited to Italy but Europe-wide. Willingness of international relocation is highly required.

The Electrical Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for quality assurance of Proton Therapy system.  This includes, but not limited to; verification of electrical wiring work, inspection of all equipment and materials delivered to the site, review of quality control records. He/she must to have knowledge of Electrical Engineering and work experience as quality assurance/control engineer.

The engineer must work in compliance with all laws and both external and internal regulations such as worker safety, radiation protection, technical and mechanical procedure and facility protocols.  Must to be proficient in Japanese and English.


  • Verify electrical wiring to make sure all wiring works to be completed correctly

  • Inspect, test or measure PBT equipment and materials at the time of delivery to ensure their conditions

  • Review and manage quality control records and documents

  • Report inspection results

  • Comply with all regulatory standards and requirements such as, applicable laws, regulations and company policies


  • University degree in Engineering or a related discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Field Measurement, etc.)

  • 3+ years of experience in QA/QC engineer

  • Proven skill in reading and correctly interpreting various engineering documents (schematics, wiring, diagrams, piping diagrams, etc.)

  • Thorough knowledge of Electrical Engineering

  • Capable of working independently as well as a part of cross-functional team

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

  • Flexibility in working hours and shift patterns

  • Familiarity with working in area of high-voltage, radiation and electromagnetic

  • Ability to work at 10+ meters height and to lift up to 32kg  repeatedly and safely

  • Basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and latest PC technology

  • Proficiency in; English (required), Japanese (highly preferred), Spanish and Italian (preferable)

  • Willingness of international job relocation  (required)
