Summary:

Hitachi Global Social Innovation Business (GSIB) is searching for a passionate Entrepreneurship intern who is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.  Work is focused with our corporate incubation efforts assisting with market analysis, product / market fit, go-to-market channels, segmentation and messaging, experimentation, and reporting key data from activities. 

GSIB is a division within Hitachi that is focused on delivering cutting edge, next-generation digital solutions to Hitachi customers, partners and ecosystems, with the goal of delivering economic, environmental and social value to society and improving the quality of life for people around the world. This position will play a role raising awareness of GSIB by assisting organic growth of a new business in Transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Market research including competitive analysis, product & services capability benchmarking
• Market needs assessment
• Channel partner evaluation
• Content Creation for social media platforms, web sites, publications, trade shows
• Lead generation and customer funnel development
• Develop, design and analyze reports for a variety of business purposes that identify and illustrate key marketing and social media metrics
• Design, develop, document, and teach others to manage an active customer acquisition funnel.  May include pilot customer onboarding, data analytics, and reporting

Required Education and Skills:

• Must be currently enrolled in accredited bachelor's degree program in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, MBA or related quantitative field

• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office & GSuite (Word/Docs, Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, Outlook/GMail) with the ability to learn new applications
• Good quantitative analytical skills (ETL, descriptive statistics)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, critical thinking and problem-solving
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Detail oriented and goal oriented with aptitude and enthusiasm for learning
