Senior Signalling Manager - Wayside

Job Description
Hitachi Rail STS is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Signalling Manager for our Wayside department. The successful candidate is comfortable leading a team of 15 engineers and able to deliver complete signaling designs for complex signaling projects in accordance with industry and company standards, guidelines and processes. In your role, you will be part of global project team and responsible for managing the Wayside department in Sweden. Your position is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Accountabilities

• Lead, develop and mentor a team of engineers on a daily basis
• Ensure the continuous effective development of competencies, skills and knowledge of the team resources
• Develop, implement and ensure continuous improvement of standards,policies and procedures for the engineering work performed within the department.
• Organize reporting with competence center manager
• Promote tools and process leading to an higher efficiency and quality of activities.
• Guarantee that the Signalling technical solution is effectively communicated and defended (understand and provide reasons for technical choices in a design)
• Ensure the effective Interfacing and cross collaboration on signalling design related matters with others company functions involved in the project
• Gathering and chairing reviews to detect design errors, process or tool inefficiencies and ensure the identification and implementation of corrective and improvement actions

Job requirements :
  • At least 10 years' experience in signaling design and delivery (ERTMS preferably)
  • Minimum three years in a commissioning or leadership role within the signaling business
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Eager to work in an international environment
  • Knowledge of railway signaling standards (CENELEC)

Education
  • Electrical/Computer Engineering/IT University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background

Languages

Swedish is a highly recommended, English proficiency is a must.
