POSITION SUMMARY:

The Rebuild Center Support Tech will be responsible for assisting technicians with maintaining Rebuild Center and backing up Rebuild Techs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1. Work with Rebuild Shop Manager for prioritized list of upcoming work and where the parts / materials are needed for Work In Process (WIP). Review daily scheduled components on shop schedule to identify and anticipate part needs. Navigate a computer inventory system and print reports and sales orders as needed. Keep a daily log of part and material movements and enter all movements in the computer inventory system. Assist with Disassembly, inspection and repair off highway equipment, off highway component and parts. Help Co-workers with projects and tasks and comprehend instructions while working in the Rebuild Center, parts yard and warehouse. Assist or perform maintenance on shop equipment or vehicles. Prepare parts and components for sandblast and paint. Performs safe operation of forklifts, overhead cranes and lifting devices. Perform cleaning and/or prepping of parts and component for rebuilding as needed to support shop operations. Paint components as needed to support shop schedule. Responsibilities may include uncrating / unpacking prepped components from shipping containers, pallets, etc. prior to staging WIP. Performs daily check and fill of facility PPE distribution locations (safety glasses, hearing protections, high visibility vests). Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections. Assists when needed with other miscellaneous needs including but not limited to raw material movement / operation, shop waste removal, shop area organization, special projects, etc. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Assist technicians when needed during rebuilds Maintain the Rebuild Center Warehouse. Keep the warehouse orderly and inventoried Load and unload trucks. Stage outgoing and incoming parts Inventory incoming and outgoing parts General equipment maintenance, forklifts, trucks, etc. Wash equipment and components as needed Paint components as needed Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

DECISION MAKING:

Position will not be required to make decisions that will directly impact the department.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Position requires collaboration with department managers and current/potential customers.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.   1 year experience working on heavy machinery or equipment. 1 year of work experience or equivalent education in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.   Deadline-Oriented, Data Entry experience Organizational, Time Management, Process Improvement Skills Experienced in Safety protocols, Inventory Control, Scheduling, analyzing information, dealing with complex projects. Ability to lift up to 50#.
