Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a global OEM brand that sells and supports a variety of high quality machinery and equipment for the construction, forestry and mining industries. Our 24/7 National Support Centre based in Revesby provides support directly to all our customers and branches nationally 7 days a week.

The Role

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager we are currently seeking an experienced Customer Service Officer with exceptional data entry skills to join our 24/7 Support Centre. This role will involve responding to a high volume of inbound customer orders, mainly via email and web portals. This position is fundamental in providing exceptional customer service while at the same time delivering great outcomes for the business by processing customer orders effectively and efficiently. This role is ideal for a highly driven individual that is detail, customer focused and has the ability to think two steps ahead.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prompt customer and stakeholder response in accordance with policies & procedures, whilst striving to meet business targets
  • Being the first point of contact for all enquiries including but not limited to; pricing, parts, availability of stock, order enquires and much more
  • Entering all sales order information into our internal databases
  • Reviewing customer orders ensuring they are correct, applying a high level of attention to detail
  • Liaise with customers in relations to purchase orders
  • Providing sales quotes via email to any customers

  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent time management and ability to be able to multitask and navigate between system and databases
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse range stakeholders from various areas of our business, internally and externally
  • Self-motivation, initiative and drive to go the extra mile!
  • Experienced working within a high-volume, fast paced, call center or customer service environment high volume data entry or Previous internal/counter sales experience within an industrial business
