What you'll be doing (For Digital Insights roles)

We are seeking to enable our new and existing customers to grow their business through building modern data analytics platforms that will enable better decision making through data and information. By building strong relationships and being a trusted technology and solutions partner, Hitachi Vantara seeks to establish a long term relationship with our customers to support them in their ongoing Digital Transformation initiatives.

Your role as a Delivery Leader for SEA is to engage with our customers to understand their business, their existing and future technology roadmaps and build solutions that will enable our customers to achieve their business goals in the most effective manner.

Roles - Responsibilities
  • Lead the Digital Insights Practice covering Hitachi Digital Solutions stack, partner solution stack, and the Insight - Analytics solutions
  • Grow and manage a team of consultants that are capable of delivering the Digital Solutions that have been sold
  • Support sales and presales teams through solution determination/verification and estimations to ensure that proposed solutions are in line with technology and delivery capabilities
  • Responsible to meet Revenue and Gross Margin goal attainment for Digital Insights Practice through managing billable utilization of the team and ownself
  • Manage team to produce monthly project and practice reviews and forecast project financials
  • Own strategic Digital Insights accounts and engage existing customers for additional work requests and contract renewals.
  • Support growth initiatives and pipeline development with Sales and Presales teams via identified GTM solutions and plans
  • Develop training plans for existing team and recruit for the right skillsets in order to meet project deliverables
  • Meet with client stakeholders and manage client expectations and escalations


You will be required to:

  • Able to quickly understand the various technologies in Digital Insights - Analytics and provide recommendations on the right technology platforms/solutions to be used to meet customer's business/technology needs
  • Able to architect and implement solutions for traditional and Big Data data analytics solutions on premise, cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, private) or hybrid platform and analytics solutions to derive insights
  • Able to architect and implement solutions for Big Data requirements using Cloudera, MapR (preferred) or equivalent solutions (Hadoop)
  • Able to integrate and implement ETL solutions for traditional and Big Data solutions (Pentaho, Talend preferred)
  • Able to architect and implement Facial Recognition and other biometrics solutions to fit customer's use cases
  • Has experience designing data platforms to ingest IoT data in batch and streaming forms into Big Data platforms
  • Experience in designing and implementing schemas and data visualizations through BI tools (e.g Qlik, Tableau, OBIEE, BOBJ).
  • Have experience working on presales opportunities, created proposal and architected solutions, provided estimates and costing and presented winning proposals to prospective clients
  • Have experience managing a team of consultants to deliver multiple projects to multiple clients at the same time, manage billability and utilization
  • Core technical skills require:
  • Hadoop - HDFS and eco-systems, HIVE, Hbase, Zookeeper, Yarn, Hue etc
  • MapR, Cloudera CDH
  • Java J2EE, Spring Boot Framework
  • Spark, Python, Drill, Jupyter, etc
  • SQL
  • Javascript
  • Kerberos, Linux system administrator knowledge
  • Streaming: Kafka or MapR ES
  • NoSQL: HBase, MapRDB or Cassandra



Good to Have Skills
  • Effective project and program management skills
  • Able to multitask and manage team resources effectively to deliver a high quality of work to internal presales team and external clients on project delivery
  • Able to learn new technologies and skills quickly and adapt knowledge to apply to current and new opportunities
  • Able to work effectively despite a high degree of ambiguity
  • Able to architect and implement API management solutions and equivalent technologies used for integration between solutions
  • Have an appreciation of Kubernetes, Dockers and containerization technologies and how they can be applied to Data Analytics solutions
  • Good to have technical skills:
  • DevOps Experience - Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins, OpenShift, Ansible, Git etc.
