Description

The purpose of this position is to be responsible for full cycle accounting with specific emphasis on job/ project cost accounting & financial business partnering for the Seattle operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Full Cycle Financial Accounting and Financial Planning & Analysis Job, project, manufacturing accounting Monthly accounting close and business entity financial statement submission (IFRS) Financials commentary Budgeting Forecasting 3+9, 6+6, 9+3 Business analysis Metrics & scorecard reporting Preparation of Sales Analysis (margin reports) GL account reconciliations, adjustments Business case preparations Financial business partner for operations Commissions & incentives calculations Year-end working paper preparation and liaison with auditors Systems controls and documentation for auditors Sales Tax Returns Property Tax support Creation of cash forecasts, treasury functions

Accounts Receivable A/R review Supervise credit granting, cash receipts and collection procedures Respond to corporate requests and inquiries from Head Office Respond to internal requests/inquiries in the areas of Accounting/HR/IT Other accounting related projects and support as the need arises. Supervise one employee – staff accounting & office administrator.

DECISION MAKING:

Position will be required to make decisions that will directly impact the Seattle operations.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Position requires collaboration with all levels in the organization – executives, managers, department managers, shop employees, office employees, controllers from other divisions and current/potential customers.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree with accounting or finance designation 3-5 years of experience in the Accounting/Finance field is required Manufacturing, production, job costing experience required Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written is mandatory Strong knowledge of MS Office products is mandatory Must be computer savvy and understand network, software and some hardware. Must have be accurate and have high attention to detail Must be discreet with the handling of employees’ confidential information
