Our EMEA Tax Team operates as a Centre of Excellence within Global Financial Shared Service (GFSS). With our broad knowledge and expertise in tax area (covering the full spectrum of taxes: VAT, CIT, WHT, local taxes, TP etc.) we collaborate as a team and cross-functionally (with Finance/Logistics/Sales Operation) to ensure that Hitachi Vantara operates in the tax compliant way and in line with accounting standards.What you'll be doing
In your role of Senior Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for preparation and submission of VAT declarations, European Sales/Purchase Listing and Intrastat reports as well as calculation of local taxes, all in compliance with country tax regulations. You also will be preparing and submitting tax-related statistics required by national banks, customs offices, national office of statistics, as well as assisting in data delivery in case of tax inspections and statutory audits.
On a quarterly basis, you will be producing CIT tax reporting packages, and regularly, looking after CIT accruals, prepayments and returns.
You will be acting as first point of contact for third party Tax Consultants who are responsible for our yearly CIT declarations as well as providing ongoing advisory on Withholding Tax.What you bring to the team
- Broad experience (3-5 years) within tax areas, together with in-depth knowledge of international and domestic tax legislation
- Relevant education (graduate degree) preferably in Accountancy, Tax, Finance, Law or related field
- Strong analytical, problem solving, negotiations and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively interface and communicate with multiple varied internal/external groups/organizations within international environment (using English language written and spoken on a daily basis)
- Great prioritization skills: flexibility while adhering to tight timelines
