F&A Manager/Senior Manager

Summary:  Directs and supervises general accounting functions.  These accounting functions may be a specific area within accounting (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, etc.)  Assists in the various other accounting related projects and tasks. Maintain and apply knowledge of current policies, laws, regulations, and processes. 

General purpose: Responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and execution of all information systems functions at AM-MS. This includes directing all I.T. operations to meet customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing applications and development of new technical solutions.

Position responsibilities:

  • Prepares monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Reviews account reconciliations and journal entries to insure financial statements are reasonable.
  • Supervises and manages performance of responsible staff.
  • Oversees the transactions and data being generated from their responsible area.
  • Prepare product profitability reports and data as needed to management.
  • Lead monthly financial closing process.
  • Responsible for certain aspects of site’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance project as assigned by F&A management.
  • Prepare account reconciliations for certain general ledger accounts and reviews others within area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the budget process.
  • Prepare and manage the monthly forecasting process.
  • Provide assistance to the department on a wide variety of F&A projects.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff required.  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information is required.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and follows all regulations and requirements related to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Responsible for following all quality policy standards.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required.  Performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner.   • Education: Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience: 7-10 years prior related experience preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:  Supervisory responsibilities may be possible to perform the job duties as designated by area management.

Physical demands and work environment: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Ability to work 40 – 60 hours per week.

Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed. 

Work Environment:  Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas.
