The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Diesel Fitter to join our Mackay (Paget) team. In this permanent full time role, your core focus will be the disassembly and reassembly of Parts and Components in a safe and efficient manner. Reporting to the workshop supervisor, main responsibilities include:

  • Disassembly and assembly of major power train components, ensuring work is carried out to meet all OEM specifications
  • Recording information as required or as detailed in scopes of work/job routes, reporting any non-conformance
  • Supply relevant & detailed information to enable the Estimator team to provide accurate quotations for the customer
  • Ability to operate equipment & machinery as required in a safe manner
  • Develop and ensure adherence to standards and practices

About You

Our aim is to provide the best customer service through an empowered, talented, and responsive team. To achieve this we are looking for someone with a proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously, within a wider team of trade professionals. You will also have:

  • A commitment to working in a safe manner, abiding by all safety processes and procedures
  • Relevant Australian or Australian recognised Trade Qualifications (ie: Diesel Fitter, Heavy Diesel Mechanic, etc)
  • The ability to read and comprehend Safe Operating Procedures and apply the instructions within the workshop environment
  • A current Drivers Licence, Forklift Licence and Doggers Licence

Component rebuild experience is an advantage but in no way essential. We are willing to provide training to suitable candidates - we invest in employees who have a learning mindset, with the ability and willingness to extend on their existing skills.

We will provide a safe, productive and supportive workplace that attracts and retains the best employees. You can also expect:

  • Job Security and the potential for Career Advancement
  • Genuine work life balance where you get to spend each night at home! (in town based role, Monday to Friday roster)
  • Competitive wages including overtime penalty rates
  • Excellent working conditions with all work being carried out in a spacious workshop with industry specific tooling to safely carry out tasks
  • Internal training and upskilling

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a stable organisation with a great workplace culture and excellent employee benefits. So what are you waiting for? APPLY NOW and submit your resume for consideration.

At H-E Parts International we value the strength of diversity. As an Equal Opportunity employer, we are committed to cultivating and maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
