Hitachi Vantara is seeking to hire an experienced, motivated and entrepreneurially minded consulting leader to our North American Utilities practice and execute the industry consulting practice strategy globally.

As the North America Utilities consulting lead, you will drive profitable growth for the Digital consulting and offerings organization, using sound business building skills and strong commercial focus. You will collaborate with market unit leaders to build, sell and deliver new, integrated and differentiated solutions for our clients. You will use your cultural awareness and interpersonal savvy to manage the dynamic, global stakeholder environment within Hitachi Vantara, across the Hitachi group ecosystem and with top-level clients. Synthesizing our clients' most pressing business challenges with Hitachi's vast portfolio of offerings, you will optimize the value of our services offered and delivered to clients. In order to scale the organization, you will recruit and manage a world-class team of recognized Utilities thought leaders.

As part of the Utilities team you will collaborate to develop vertically oriented consulting offerings and solution plays, including: Advisory and Strategy, Design thinking and analysis, Workforce transformation, Digital Modernization, Digital Insights, and Digital Enterprise practices. You will also leverage capabilities within front Business Units (e.g. Hitachi ABB Power Grids) through collaboration and coordination with the front BU/Lumada leader.

Your executive presence and credibility will help to bring the strategy to realization while building a team of trusted, knowledgeable consultants, managing day-to-day practice operations, project delivery and client development.

What you'll be doing

•Consultative sales, management and delivery of consulting services, overseeing program delivery and execution of client initiatives and Digital/Business transformational strategy execution.
•Evaluate, develop, and implement strategies, initiatives, and solutions, improving current infrastructure to meet objectives.
•Act as the primary liaison with clients for consulting services, addressing service needs, requests, and issues, and collaborating with market leaders and relevant front BU/Lumada leader.
•Manage and support consulting teams and senior leadership, coordinating account activities and evaluating performance.
•Identify business opportunities and obtain accounts for consulting, assisting with bid management and contract development.

What you bring to the team

•Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
•10+ years of Utilities and Consulting experience
•Up to 50% of travel may be required, but depends on current corporate and CDC travel restrictions/guidelines.
•Strong knowledge of the Utilities industry, specifically Customer, Transmission and Distribution, Power Generation, to Distributed Energy management systems with the associated dynamics and macro trends, alongside asset management and associated business objectives and technical solutions
•An ability to think creatively and work consistently to identify, develop and close opportunities within new or prospect customers and you'll be able to share specific examples to illustrate where and how you have done this
•A consultative sales approach with relationships at an executive level, able to understand needs and deliver compelling and effective sales proposals
•The aptitude to identify key decision makers and build relationships that enable you to increase your level of influence within accounts
•A track record of successfully negotiating multi-million dollar sales proposals, meeting and exceeding sales targets throughout your sales career, illustrating your persistent focus on supporting customers to realize required business outcomes
•An ability to build virtual teams around you to create and deliver innovative solutions, navigating large and complex organizations and collaborating cross-functionally internally - we are all here to support your success!
•You follow and are passionate about industry trends and can share advise and expertise with your customers, extrapolating the business benefits of technology solutions to meet their needs
