Role Overview

Required to support the Strategy and Operations Director within our Social Innovation Team.  In this position you will have exposure to Business strategy and Analytics, Communications Content Creation, and Project Management.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing stages of a project/s which could include personally running small projects such as the creation of marketing collaterals (videos, brochures, ads, etc.), virtual events or reporting analysis.
  • Taking part in strategy and business brainstorming to produce convincing visual / creative decks and presentations
  • Study organization’s strengths and weaknesses, assets and capabilities
  • Support in the definition of business, marketing and operational strategies, based on various competitive positionings and business models
  • Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential
  • Prepare business reports by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends
  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate research data and develop integrated analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic decision-making
  • Plan and coordinate the development of primary and secondary market research studies in support of strategic planning and specific marketing initiatives, as required and presents findings of studies
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues
  • Working closely with the marketing team to support create branded content
  • Writing and proof-reading communications for internal and external publication
  • Create and maintain digital content and social media activity on multiple sites
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on our target audience.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the organization's activities, products and/or services.

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and / or Masters in an area such as Business Administration, Marketing, Technology & Information Management or equivalent work experience
  • An understanding of Transport and Decarbonisation Industries
  • Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) with the ability to build and maintain good relationships at all levels
  • Demonstrated experience of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision 
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Consulting background preferred
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Knowledge of Process Improvement
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, Access and excellent PowerPoint skills
  • Big Picture and Creative Thinker
