Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia ( is part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

HCA have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Supervisor to play a key role in coordinating our field service operations in Sydney. The main focus of this role will be to coordinate and control branch field service operations to ensure the safe and timely execution of work in line with customer requirements.

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring our field service employees comply with all OHS responsibilities and that a safety first culture is a consistent behaviour within the team
  • Coach, Lead and Mentor our qualified field service technicians on a daily basis.
  • Reporting of key service delivery metrics.
  • Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources in line with customer requirements and agreed budgets
  • Manage and lead field service staff across the branch network which is inclusive of Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra.
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations for retail and other required service jobs, administer service documentation including coordination of time sheets
  • Liaising with technical support staff and assisting with technical enquiries

To be successful in this role:

  • You will hold a relevant trade qualification or construction equipment experience
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction and exceptional communication skills
  • A strong work ethic with the right attitude to finding solutions to customers problems
  • Ability to multi task and have strong organisational skills and problem solving abilities
  • Experience in a similar field supervisory position
  • Previous field service customer support experience will be highly advantageous
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with customers and peers
  • You are resilient individual with a strong customer service focus Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Competent computer skills
