VP of Global Engineering and Systems Manager with dotted line reporting to the President of Mining Solutions America.
H-E Parts International Mining Solutions US (HEPIMS US)
This role is responsible for all aspects of Engineering and Quality Control in a Manufacturing, Remanufacturing and Mining Environment of the Americas. In particular HEPIMS US and HEPI MS Canada as well as additional support may be provided to H-E Parts facilities in Peru and Chile.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1. Leads and coordinates engineering functions, which include: sales and customer support, manufacturing and production support, reverse engineering and R&D initiatives, in-process quality control checks and audits, tooling calibration, BOM Management and a Quality Management System. Facilitates communication with other HEPI engineering groups, ensuring specifications, budgets, priorities and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood as well as a clear openness for collaborative work with these groups. Serves as project manager for multiple projects, creating timelines and cost projections, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring projects comply with specifications, timelines, and budgets. Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy. Evaluates and actively manages technical and engineering influenced commercial risk to the business Lead, manage and prioritize the work of the engineering, drafting and QC staff supporting and promoting global engineering systems and priorities. Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards, promoting global best practice Prepares and executes departmental budget. Conducts quality audits of new and existing suppliers. Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve product lines and production efficiency. Works hand in hand with sales to evaluate options to innovate and lower customer TCO. Performs other duties as assigned.
Thorough understanding of engineering theory and design criteria. Thorough understanding of applied math and physics. Knowledge of mining operations and machine maintenance practices
Position will be required to make decisions that will directly impact the department.
Position requires collaboration with Global Engineering, other engineering centers, department managers (including sales and production), and current/potential customers.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology 8+ Plus years' experience in a shop, manufacturing environment and/or heavy equipment management 3 -5 years of supervisory experience. Proficiency in MS Office, CAD, and 3D modelling systems (prefer Autodesk design suite) Valid passport and ability to travel Internationally without restriction Valid drivers license and clean driving record MSHA Safety certifications required to enter Mining Operations must be obtained within 3 months of hire date. Knowledge of mobile mining equipment electrical systems or large diesel engines would be viewed favorably.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, feel with their hands, reach and handle materials weighing up to 10 pounds. The employee will frequently need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, walk and handle materials weighing 10-20 pounds. On occasion the employee will need to handle materials weighing 20-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel will be required for this position. Travel to visit and support customers, (Regional or International) as well as travel may be required to support and interact with other areas of the business (Regional or International).
Proof of a current Covid 19 inoculation will be required before company travel is undertaken.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving objects (materials handled and transported throughout the plant via cranes, fork trucks and other employees). The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The employee is also frequently exposed to sharp and abrasive edges which may result in scrapes, cuts and bruises. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
