The “Applications Engineer” is responsible for providing technical support plus product information to the sales and marketing organization, as well as our customers. These job functions enable the company to meet customers’ needs and to achieve sales plans. Primary product responsibilities will include Transmission Electron Microscopes and related instruments. Communication with customers, product group, factory engineers, and vendors to ensure effective support of the company’s product lines is critical.
Specific responsibilities will include performing instrument demonstrations, authoring marketing collateral, pre/post-sales support, customer support / training, technical seminars and developing related applications. Strong experience in biological sample preparation / imaging is a plus. The Applications Engineer will work closely with Applications Group and Product Management on defining applications for product strategies and roadmaps for specific product lines. The Applications Engineer will communicate and work with the NSD sales team to effectively promote products to potential customers. Attendance and participation in conferences, exhibitions, and industry shows is required. Domestic travel and some international travel are required.
**This position will be required to relocate to Hillsboro, Oregon in 1-2 years.
