Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia is part of a global brand providing a variety of machinery for the construction and mining industries.

An opportunity has become available for a focused and motivated individual to join our new Toowoomba branch in the position of Customer Support Representative - Construction Equipment.

Focused on the Toowoomba area, this role will have you promoting and selling customer parts and service solutions including preventative maintenance programs and a full range of genuine Hitachi parts, ensuring complete customer support is provided to our existing and new customers.

As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage an existing network of customers and source new customers to grow parts and service sales
  • Promoting parts and service sales solutions to achieve company budgeted sales targets
  • Working to a customer call cycle and actively building parts & service quotes tailored to customers' needs and conducting B2B sales negotiations
  • Sourcing and distribution of parts, whilst liaising with freight companies and overseeing the delivery of parts
  • Processing orders and notifying the customers on the progress and status, and processing claims for damaged or missing freight
  • Reporting of activity, prospects, sales opportunities and competitor activity

To be successful you will need:

  • Strong technical understanding of earthmoving and construction equipment
  • Demonstrated success in a similar sales role
  • Be self-motivated and be able to build long term relationships
  • Excellent administration, communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to travel as required within your region
