The purpose of this position is to ensure sufficient processes are in place to minimize HEPI legal, contractual and commercial risk by establishing contracts, master service agreements and terms and conditions for all sales and purchases, and regularly reviewing current contracts using best practice standards and policies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1. Remain up to date on all compliance matters which may affect HEPI now or in the future. Ensure adherence to the HEPI’s Quality Assurance system and that all documentation under your control conforms to HEPI’s Quality and Management Systems. Minimise HEPI’s legal, contractual and commercial risk by following HEPI’s company ontracting policy and risk management matrix. Establish new contracts and regularly review current contracts to be in line with HEPI’s company contracting policy as directed. Ensure commercial processes are adhered to in order to limit overall company liability and reduce reliance on external legal counsel. Support management in the roll out of MSA’s with essential North American customers. Liaise closely with the Perth based Commercial Manager to roll out and maintain Global Contracting Strategy as directed. Provide contract advice in relation to specific division or product line contracts as required. Continued education of sales and purchase staff, throughout North America (and other areas as required) in order to ensure compliance with contract review process. Continually liaise with other members of Commercial and Contracts team to ensure cohesive global approach to customers. Contract administration and maintenance of central contracts reporting and storage. Assist sales managers with tender preparation, review and evaluation. Additional duties as assigned.
This position will be required to discuss work related choices with the Commercial Manager, CEO or delegate regarding decisions that will directly impact the organization.
Position requires collaboration with Organizational executives and current/potential customers.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Paralegal certification, or Bachelors Degree in Law, Commerce, or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years experience as a Contracts Specialist in a mining, mineral processing, oil & gas, engineering or heavy equipment environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite (outlook, word, excel, powerpoint).
Bilingual in English and Spanish; written and verbal
