The Opportunity

Hitachi is actively seeking a motivated individual to join the Global Mining team, as a Contracts Administrator. This opportunity will see you work on International Mining Contracts and with multiple stakeholders enhancing your knowledge and expertise in the global mining space.

Reporting to the Business and Contracts Manager, Global Mining, this hands on role will require you to be fast paced with keen attention to details.

You will be responsible for:

  • Support and administrate global contracts (all obligations and reporting requirements) from negotiation through to termination for Global Mining Customers.
  • Provide consistent and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordination of meetings and action lists.
  • Supporting the team with negotiations, tenders and any new opportunities for global accounts.
  • Coordinate and maintain global pricing policies with the relevant departments, regional headquarters and dealers.
  • Provide commercial, analytical and administrative support on projects and tasks as required by your manager. (Financial Modelling, where applicable)
  • Assisting in other general service administration tasks and document creation.

To be successful in this role:

  • Previous experience with contracts administration (Mining Experience and International Contracts Management is desirable)
  • Ability to interpret and analyse contracts and some experience with Supply Chain management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to maintain high level of integrity and confidentiality, and to work under pressure
  • Advanced Microsoft Office software skills, ability to work in a team and autonomously
  • Previous experience with Financial Modelling and Japanese Language are desirable (but not Mandatory)
