Your new role

In this exciting role you will be responsible for producing and developing analytics, systems and dashboard views of live procurement projects, with process input.

This role can be based from our Ludgate office in London or our manufacturing facility in Newton Aycliffe.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Understanding of procurement requirements to structure, collate and report data to provide meaningful business analytics and intelligence.
  • Creation and maintenance of interactive KPI dashboards for end to end Procurement operations, providing accurate, timely and scaled information for managers to make business decisions.
  • Drive the digitisation of our SAP data through SAP BW functionality to improve performance, scalability & security.
  • Creation and maintenance of tactical execution reports and tracking tools for procurement and other internal customers within related functions.
  • Creation of bespoke modelling scenarios to support short, medium and longer term procurement operational environments, helping to forecast requirements and flag early risks & opportunities.
  • Input to and creation of management briefing reports & presentations to internal/external customers
  • Process mapping to gain full understanding of data integrity and as and when required root cause identification
  • Ability to perform maintenance work associated with legacy systems (e.g. SQL Queries, VBA code)
  • Review data quality to identify exceptions for proactive correction and process stability
  • Identify, connect to and transform data from multiple technologies utilising Power Query Language (M) within Power BI.
  • Design and create data models, measures and relationships using DAX
  • Generate & create interactive report layouts & visualisations for end customers to consume
  • Engage with internal customers to support user interaction and champion the use of business analytics in day to day operations
  • Engage and communicate efficiently with internal customers and stakeholder as necessary in executing work packages.
  • Liaison with Commercial, Project & Engineering functions to ensure effective communication and alignment.

About you

Skills

  • User of Excel to a high standard, including VBA, charting, pivot tables etc.
  • User of Power BI to a high standard, including “M” (Power Query language) and “DAX”
  • Understanding of data modelling principles
  • Robust understanding of SAP Architecture
  • Understanding of P6 tool or on defined roadmap
  • Project management experience within procurement / supply chain / manufacturing
  • Exceptional Interpersonal skills to optimise cross-functional collaboration
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, representing / interacting across all levels of the business
  • Displays passion, drive, agility and resilience in achieving ambitious targets under difficult circumstances, capitalises on lessons learned and responds positively to setbacks.
  • Candidates need to have flexibility in regards to UK and international travel, as this will be required occasionally dependent on projects.

  • Relevant technical qualifications to PBI/P6
