Your new role

In this exciting role you will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of the performance of the AT300 fleet, including identifying trends, drawing conclusions and recommending corrective action to drive performance improvement in line with contractual obligations.

Specifically, you will be responsible for the following deliverables:

  • Act as initial point of contact with the customer for train performance and provide support to AT300 fleets whilst in service.
  • Manage the investigation, escalation and resolution of technical incidents attributed to the train.
  • Building and maintaining key datasets and performance indicators, and the identification of trends to drive reliability growth and performance improvement.
  • Monitoring the operational performance of the AT300 fleet in line with contractual obligations.
  • Management of data and information within the SAP maintenance management system and SOROS fleet management systems.
  • Exploitation of the Hitachi Fleet Monitoring Tool (HFMT) to support reliability growth and performance improvement.
  • Development and management of Fleet Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Liaising with key internal and external stakeholders in the investigation and management of technical incidents including the management of daily conference calls.
  • Report progress, prepare reports and give verbal briefs and presentations as required.
  • Production of the period performance report for the customer and attendance at the performance review meetings.
  • Promote, support and comply with all health and safety practices in the workplace.
  • Undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with Hitachi’s new business demands as required.
  • Any other duties as directed by the Performance Manager (AT300)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must have the ability to deliver confident and persuasive briefs.
  • Able to represent Hitachi in a professional manner at all times.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Capable of working in stressful environments for long periods of time.

Qualifications

  • Vocational qualifications and experience.

Essential

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think quickly.
  • Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – SAP/Maximo/Equinox
  • Intermediate IT skills – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Desirable

  • Previous experience of rolling stock maintenance and operations.
