Tooling CNC Operator


  • Locate and mount proper tools in collets and holders according to tooling lists
  • Setup tooling in CNC machining centers with proper offsets
  • Load and fixture stock material into CNC machines
  • Use dial indicators to accurately align work into machines
  • Understand the design and build of VMM patterns, core setters, Laempe/CB/D-75 Core machines
  • Fabricate tooling components using lathes, drill presses, and hand tools.
  • Assemble tooling components according to assembly prints
  • Use of overhead hoists and fork trucks for material movement
  • Provide suggested preventative measures, to ensure inherent and robust machine capability
  • Keep machines and work areas clean and organized


  • 3-5 years of related experience or pursuing degree in Machine Tool program / Mold & Die or degree in Machine Tool program / Mold & Die
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and GD&T tolerances
  • Can apply Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry in to daily work.
  • Understanding of machine setup and material fixturing
  • Must possess good written and oral communication skills
  • Employ critical thinking, logic and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
