Role Overview

We currently require a Digital Product Owner for EV Fleets (Vans / LCVs) to work as part of the Social Innovation team in its newly formed ‘Intelligent Fleet Decarbonisation’ Business.  You will assist the Head of Digital Product in developing and validating the Product Roadmap, identifying business requirements and developing Features for subsequent delivery by technical teams and/or partnering with external software vendors.  The role requires the ability to operate at both the strategic level, but also navigate and clearly document complex details.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Efficiently research and professionally present market-level insight, across vendors, competitors and the regulatory landscape to form recommendations for future products
  • Liaise with customer-facing teams (BD, Sales, etc.) to illicit feedback from customer opportunities on business requirements
  • Ability to create a Product Vision, taking a market opportunity and/or customer painpoint and developing concept(s) for consideration into the Product Roadmap
  • Work with Proposition, Commercial and Operational teams on developing digital products which can be packaged, sold and operated aligned to their respective strategies
  • Document Product Features for subsequent delivery by technical teams and maintain a suitable prioritised backlog
  • Owning the interface into Software BAs and/or third-parties, as required, to support Product Development

Skills & Competencies Required

  • Experience in fleet management, understanding the main operational challenges fleets manage; direct exposure to fleet electrification / charging and/or telematics advantageous
  • Experience in the Product Management lifecycle
  • Ability to logically break-down complex problems into digestible components
  • Ability to present complex ideas in Powerpoint, for internal audiences
  • Confident use of Excel and being financially numerate
  • Exposure to agile delivery methods a bonus
  • An appreciation of data science capabilities will be beneficial
