Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1.
  • The Production Planner owns projects and work orders within Pronto and has the responsibility to open and close in a timely manner. 
  • Work cooperatively with technicians to ensure Component Reports, Scope of Works and Tear Down Reports are submitted in a professional, accurately, and presentable fashion.
  • Assists customers with product information including part numbers, pricing, and availability.
  • Provides estimates for cost repair shop work order evaluations into a repair quote that explains the condition of the customer's component, the proposed repair process, the parts used and the final cost of the repair.
  • Translate Sales forecast with production’s plan, highlighting discrepancies.
  • Provide meaningful reports to site management based on findings and performance of production, report on actual labor to budget.
  • Lead Job Status meetings with site management and Finance.
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure parts availability when needed by Operations in support of the overall build schedule.
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to inventory.
  • Manage deadlines based on project milestones and due dates.

DECISION MAKING:

Position will be required to make decisions that will directly impact the business, customer relationships, revenue, and margin.

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Position requires collaboration with department managers, Sales, and H-E employees.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (*MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint), and internet
  • Minimum five years’ experience in high horsepower Diesel engines quotes, costs, estimates, components.
  • Valid driver’s license and Clean and clear driving record required.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to set and manage priorities and maintain accurate and detailed records
  • Working knowledge of Pronto ERP System
  • Work in a fast pace environment and prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Experience in the mining and/or industrial sector.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time along with walking, standing, climbing stairs, reaching, pushing, pulling, leaning and twisting. 
• Must be able to meet all safety requirements for applicable safety policies.

Long periods of time sitting, working on a computer, and sometimes standing to do paperwork.  At times an employee may be in the machine shop or assembly environment and would be required to utilize appropriate personal protective equipment and follow safety standards.
