We are seeking a Payroll - Tax Specialist with a passion for payroll and payroll taxes to join our team servicing North America and Canada. Reporting to the Payroll Audit, Control - Compliance Manager, the Payroll - Tax Specialist will ensure payroll processing and payroll taxes are compliant with specified company policy as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

What you'll be doing

Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliation of wage and tax reports
  • Assist with audits related to 401k, Worker's Comp, and other audits as needed
  • Research and analyze payroll tax notices and process appropriate corrective action
  • Ensure payroll tax reporting and payments are compliant with federal, state and local regulations
  • Responsible for tax registration of state and local payroll taxes as needed
  • Partner with Finance Shared Services to assist with payroll account reconciliation
  • Work on and analyze intricate issues which require comprehensive knowledge of payroll procedures and policies
  • Assist with year-end procedures
  • Answer all employee related inquired related to payroll tax questions
  • Assist Manager with implementing procedures and controls to ensure company, federal, state, and local compliance

What you bring to the team

Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Business Administration/Finance or equivalent level of knowledge in a relevant field
  • 5+ years payroll tax experience performing all functions of payroll and tax
  • Excellent customer service skills with an ability to effectively handle and resolve employee inquires and issues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
  • Demonstrated high degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks while meeting all established deadlines
