We are establishing business relationships to understand and solve customer challenges related to orders, invoices and payments so that we can deliver the best financial results. We collaborate as a team and cross-functionally to ensure a smooth cash collection process and timely receipts.

What you'll be doing

Cash Collection Team member is responsible for contacting external Hitachi Vantara customers in regards to payments of invoices. Collectors speaking local languages and English are the first point of contact in case of invoice disputes and they coordinate dispute resolution with other internal departments. Collectors also provide customer accounts statements and other required invoice related documentation to customers upon request. Cash allocation specialists are part of our team, are responsible for applying payments towards invoices and resolving unapplied balances and work hand-in-hand with the collectors. All team members contribute to customer aging quality, DSO results, cash forecast accuracy, low bad debt reserve and timely resolution of collection challenges. We also report our KPI's to US corporate and local field finance management, controllership and treasury. Cash Collectors work closely with the credit team members to mitigate credit risks and maintain their customers' portfolios in good financial health. The Team is actively participating in OTC continuous improvement projects (both top down and bottom up initiatives) and testing outcomes. Teamwork, communication, customer service skills and a can-do attitude are what it takes to be successful in this team.

What you bring to the team

• Fluent German language skills to enable you to directly speak with customers and colleagues in Germany, Austria and Switzerland
• Courtesy and professional manner of communication to establish deep and successful relationships
• Accuracy, accounting literacy and problem solving skills to resolve invoice and account statement enquires
• Experience, excellent time and task management to ensure appropriate prioritization
• Internal motivation and a can-do-attitute in face of daily challenges
