The Hitachi Global Due Diligence team provides fast-paced analysis and recommendations to executive management regarding the reputational fitness of its distribution channels, suppliers and service providers. Opportunities for advancement as well as skillset and knowledge expansion as the team evolves to support the growing needs of the company's expanding business portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing- Develop and apply risk-based assessment criteria to Hitachi distribution channel partners and vendors
- Use on-line screening tools, on-line research, and interviews to evaluate third party for red flags
- Interact with third parties and Hitachi executives to acquire and confirm information needed to make analysis
- Analyze, unravel, and map complicated or hidden third party ownership structures
- Demonstrate deductive reasoning needed to uncover concealed third-party red flags
- Draft concise reports, outlining findings and recommendations for addressing red flags presented
- Present findings and recommendations to Legal - Compliance leadership and business senior management
- Interpret analytics needed to make continuous improvements to due diligence and risk assessment processes
- Work with select Hitachi companies to develop third party risk profiles and due diligence strategies
- Train the business about third party red flags and due diligence processes
What You Bring To the Team- 3-5 years' experience performing complex corporate compliance due diligence, prior team leadership a plus
- Demonstrated experience presenting due diligence findings to senior executive management
- Detailed knowledge of corporate compliance regulations and reputational risks (e.g., anti-bribery, competition, anti-money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes, as well as conflicts of interest analysis, etc.)
- Analyze, unravel, and map complicated or hidden third party ownership structures
- Proficiency in Office365 products and third party management software
- Excellent report writing skills (e.g., concise, well-reasoned, and clear recommendations)
- Business fluency in English and Spanish required
- Business fluency in Arabic highly desired
