Meet our Team:

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our team as Global Manager, Employee Relations - Compliance Management. This individual would drive our Affirmative Action Planning (AAP) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance programs in the Americas as well as work with other regional stakeholders in APAC and EMEA to drive adherence to regulatory requirements. Operating as part of a Global Centralized HR Support Center, Employee Relations (ER) partners across the company to support our employees and managers and address employee concerns, partner on the development and execution of Inclusion and Diversity initiatives and programs, develop and communicate workplace policies, and ensure Hitachi Vantara stays in sync with applicable employment laws and regulations. Fast pace, demanding workload, changing priorities, demanding clients are sometimes part of the environment, but above all, it is exciting and fun!

What you will be doing:

• Ensure processes used comply with Company policies and procedures, and meet all compliance requirements (AAP, EEOC, etc.)
• Partner with Recruiting and HR Shared Services to drive effective compliance with government regulations relating to recruitment, selection, and onboarding
• Identify areas of opportunity for education and training for managers and business leaders; partner with Legal, DEI, and Talent Development to develop and deliver training
• Build strong and effective partnerships across global ER and team members, other People Teams, Employment Law, and other compliance partners, including managing external vendors
• Monitor the reporting schedules and ensure all required state and federal government compliance reports are completed and filed on time, and that all records are maintained in accordance with regulations and Hitachi Vantara's record retention guidelines
• Partner with cross-functional teams (including People Analytics, Recruiting, People Business Partners, and DEI), conduct internal audits to investigate, and identify, areas of concerns relating to AAP and EEO compliance, and recommend corrective actions
• Partner with on DEI initiatives to ensure outreach efforts are measured and analyzed and collaborate in the development and implementation of Hitachi Vantara's affirmative action plans as required by government regulations and to help support Hitachi Vantara's Inclusion and Diversity initiatives

What you bring to the team:

• Candidates with 5+ years of experiential background in any of the following or equivalent, will be considered:
o HR Operations Manager
o Labor - Employment Law
o Regulatory Compliance Manager
o EEOC or Civil or Family Attorney
o HR Operations Auditor (Internal or External)

Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law or related discipline or equivalent work experience, and 5+ years of related experience.
