Job Description DevSecOps EngineerThe ideal candidate has experience with DevOps practices as well as enterprise networking concepts. This candidate should be an excellent communicator and produce effective documentation. They will also be able to assist with improving our infrastructure, infrastructure automation as well as general systems and network management. The candidate will be familiar with hybrid-cloud networking concepts and understand various network technologies that exist on-perm as well as in Azure, GCP and AWS. Experience with a variety of network platforms is preferred and some of those will include Fortinet and Cisco. Additionally, this candidate may perform engineering and management tasks in planning, development, test, production, operations, and maintenance environments. Engage with multiple functional groups to comprehend challenges and prototype new ideas.
What you'll be doing- Develop and maintain best practices for all lab networking services
- Maintain circuits, edge, core and rack networking gear across multiple, international sites
- Manage firewall states across multiple international sites
- Manage cloud-based network components across various cloud providers, regions and availability zones.
- Work with project teams to define networking requirements, plan for implementation and execute as needed.
- Maintain security and data privacy, ensure compliance and perform required security, compliance and performance tests
- Work with architects on deployment architecture, security and CI/CD and then implement these on the cloud or on prem
- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
- Evaluate new technology options and vendor products
What you will bring to the team- Preferred candidates 6 + years of technical experience in enterprise networking
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment
- 3+ years of experience with infrastructure, software developments or data center operations
- 3+ years of experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration
- 3+ years of experience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure and infrastructure as code
- Environments including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD and experience with Agile and Scrum
- Experience in automation/configuration management using Jenkins/Bamboo and Ansible/Puppet/Terraform
- Infrastructure and APM monitoring using tools such as Data Dog, Zabbix, Nagios, Splunk, etc.
- Strong background in Linux/Unix administration
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technologies both on-prem and the various cloud-native implementations
- Ability to work with distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
- Strong problem solving, analytical, design, architecture, decision-making and communication skills.
- Self-driven and motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced, results-driven agile environment with varied responsibilities.
