About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing expansion, we are seeking to employ a skilled and motivated individual to join our highly functional procurement team in the sourcing of parts from overseas and local vendors. The successful candidate will have a passion for customer service, backed by significant experience in inventory management and international procurement.

Based within our corporate support office in Pemulwuy, Sydney, this newly created position of Senior Procurement Officer reports directly to our Parts Inventory Manager, and provides support for day to day and overall team activities in the procurement of spare parts required for our machines and customer operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of high level customer service to Australia and new Zealand dealer networks
  • Achievement of targeted supply fill rates through accurate forecasting and timely procurement from suppliers
  • Expediting of outstanding orders, including back order management
  • Establishment and maintenance of positive relationships with suppliers, including KPI measurement
  • Analysis and reporting of inventory performance and supply lead times
  • Support for procurement team / manager in day to day operations, management and reporting of key tasks
  • Identification and implementation of actions required for continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will possess the following:

  • Strong customer service focus, for both internal and external customers, and stakeholder management
  • Experience working within international procurement and supply chain management
  • Inventory planning and forecasting experience in spare parts or similar businesses
  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant management/business discipline
  • Advanced skills in inventory management / ERP systems, Microsoft Excel
  • Structured Query Language (SQL) experience (preferred, not essential)
