About the Role

We are eager to on-board an Assistant Financial Accountant to cover a paternal leave period for the next 12-months where you will join our successfully busy corporate support team.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager your core focus will be ensuring the accurate and timely completion of reports and reconciliations related to our Administration Department and Fixed Assets. Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating preparation of Month End Journals, accruals and prepayments
  • Conducting daily GL movement checks and following up with relevant parties to resolve issues
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and preparation of trade-ins
  • Monthly preparation of management packs for review
  • Assist in preparation and submission of quarterly reviews and annual budgets to our head office in Japan

About You

To be successful for this position you would have previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accountant working within a large corporate environment and have a demonstrated enthusiasm to deliver excellent customer service. You would also have the following skills.

  • CPA/ CA Qualified or Part qualified with solid experience in Operational expense and Fixed Assets Accounting.
  • At least 2+ years full time experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, notably Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and competent in working effectively in a dynamic environment running with multiple deadlines concurrently.
