The Opportunity

HCA is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Corporate Support team. The main focus of this role will be to provide Engineering and application support to the business and to assist, develop and administer local options by utilising the HCA Engineering work management system and engineering due diligence processes.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • Manage and conclude engineering issues in conjunction with Branch staff and OEM contacts
  • Assist with engineering activities such as design reviews, risk assessments and other design activities, including 3D modelling and FEA
  • Provide support in the development of a national standard for new equipment local options
  • Offer engineering advice to staff responsible for Sales, Service and after Sales Support of HCA Products

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree
  • Eligible for membership of Engineers Australia
  • 3+ Years' equipment and machinery design experience
  • Solid Experience in 3D design applications such as Solidworks or Inventa
  • Electrical design knowledge is desired
  • Experience in earthmoving / construction / mining industry will be highly regarded
  • Risk management and stakeholder management along with good communication and presentation skills

This role can be based in Sydney (Greystanes), Perth (Forrestdale) or Brisbane (Wacol).
