The Opportunity

We currently seeking an enthusiastic Estimator to join our Forrestdale team. In this permanent full time role, your core focus will be to provide high quality estimating activities on assigned accounts or areas. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction and managing quality of product and service delivery. Reporting to the branch manager, main responsibilities include:

Operational Requirements

Produce estimates, quotes and proposals for existing and prospective customers. Generate quotation and job reports for all complete components disassembled on site, as per the work instruction provided. Generate quotation for parts orders only. Assist with operational requirements in relation to scheduling production through-put, based on existing customer requirements to ensure that customer delivery expectations are met; Advise and support the production team to help schedule incoming and ongoing work, to ensure it meets the customers’ current needs. Secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based sales approach.

Customer Focus

Advise and support existing customers, providing them with constant updates on work in progress and identifying priorities for ongoing and incoming work. Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of customer relations, internal and external. Manage customer expectations and formulate  suitable solutions relating to customer problems, complaints and warranty claims. Maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers. Attend product and sales training relating to company products to H-E Parts personnel & Clients alike. Identify opportunities for the representation of H-E Parts products and services Provide customer support relating to products, pricing, service and technical information;

Continuous Improvement

Contribute to the development of training resources in relation to the estimating role. Contribute to Company improvement in areas such as safety, quality, environmental, work methods, efficiency etc. Undertake training as required.

Reporting and Records

To assist the Workshop Supervisor with data entry and processing. Entering new incoming work into the system, as per work instruction. Carry out all aspects of job administration function including, but not limited to, sales order creation, job creation, quoting and follow up with the client; Manage the processing of new incoming work in the ERP the system. Complete monthly reporting as required.

About You

Our aim is to provide the best customer service through an empowered, talented, and responsive team. To achieve this we are looking for someone with:

• Trade certificate in the mechanical or heavy earthmoving industry
• Minimum of four to eight years’ experience in a similar role
• Advanced numeracy skills having the ability to use these skills with weight, volume and distance measurements;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and knowledge of HR information systems.
• A commitment to working in a safe manner, abiding by all safety processes and procedures
