Description

Hitachi is one of the world's leading companies in the electrical industry. Technical innovations for the future are our greatest challenge. The product range of our Group comprises more than 20,000 components and solutions. More than 325,000 employees help us to continuously develop international standards and distribute high-quality complex components and systems.

Throughout the recent years, data-driven approaches became an integral paradigm next to experimental, theoretical and computational sciences. The continuously improved accuracy of machine learning techniques and the development of increasingly efficient dedicated hardware architectures makes machine learning more and more attractive in the scope of high-fidelity physical simulations. Potential uses cases can for example be found in:

  • Democratization of simulation through AI-assisted pre-/post-processing,

  • Model accuracy improvement by data-driven sub-models,

  • Super-fast simulations, e.g. by means of physics informed neural networks.

You will join an innovative team of experts from the fields of modelling/simulation and machine learning. As a member of the Automotive and Industry Laboratory, belonging to the European R&D centre of Hitachi, you will be given numerous opportunities to learn lots of new things about research and development in the automotive and manufacturing sector for instance.

To strengthen our innovative Automotive & Industry Laboratory as a part of the European R&D centre from the fields of modelling/simulation and machine learning, working either remotely or in our office in Schwaig for a duration of 6 months we are looking for a
